# Santa Naughty List Public product documentation in English. Updated 2026-11-04. ## What it makes Two AI Christmas video effects: the original Naughty or Nice List from one empty-room photo and a name, and Custom Santa Video Message from a room photo and user-written dialogue. The target format is 12 seconds, 9:16 for the list effect, or 9:16 / 3:4 / 1:1 / 4:3 / 16:9 for the custom effect, MP4 with generated speech. This is AI entertainment, not a live Santa performance or a behavior assessment. ## Inputs and choices - Upload one JPG, PNG or WebP room photo, up to 8 MB, or use the registered sample room when available. Do not upload people or sensitive details. Computer upload and phone transfer are supported. - Original effect: `effect: santanaughtylist`. Enter a name of up to 40 characters and choose Nice or Naughty. You must have permission to provide the photo and name. - The original list effect uses fixed scripts. Custom Santa Video Message uses `effect: custom-santa-video-message` and accepts your own dialogue, up to 240 characters and 30 words. Include names directly in the dialogue. The three main inputs are a room photo, dialogue and spoken language. Output settings offer 9:16, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3 and 16:9; the chosen ratio is saved with the task. - Write custom dialogue in the selected spoken language. There is no automatic translation. The custom message is sent to the video provider and saved in the task for history and regeneration; drafts stay in the current browser session. Avoid sensitive information and use only authorized content. Custom message creator: https://santanaughtylist.org/effect/custom-santa-video-message - Spoken languages: American English (en-US), Spanish (es), French (fr-FR), German (de-DE), Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR), Italian (it-IT). Voice defaults to the page language but can be changed independently. - Resolutions: 480P, 720P, 1080P. The site adds no watermark. AI details, pronunciation and lip sync can vary. ## List effect: English script previews for Oliver Nice: Ho, ho, ho! Let me see... Ah, Oliver! There you are! You're on my Nice List! I'm so proud of you! Merry Christmas! Naughty: Ho, ho, ho! Let me see... Oh, Oliver! You're on my Naughty List! You've been a little mischievous this year! Merry Christmas! ## Create, review and download Choose your settings and confirm photo permission. Sign in and purchase sufficient credits before generating. New accounts receive no free credits. Credits are reserved on submission and returned when failure is confirmed. Results are saved to My videos; download the MP4 after reviewing it. A fixed completion time is not promised. Results are accessible in the account for up to 90 days. This is an access limit, not an automatic physical-deletion promise. Phone upload links expire after 30 minutes. Keep private transfer and download links to yourself. ## Examples and family use The homepage Nice and Naughty examples use the same room, Oliver, English speech, and 480P. Website-language changes do not translate the example videos. These list examples use 9:16; supplied samples measure 496 × 864 and about 12.096 seconds. Prepare the video before Christmas Eve or gift time. Watch it yourself first, save the MP4, and choose a quiet moment to play it to your family. Start with the Nice message if a child may take the list seriously. Pricing FAQ: https://santanaughtylist.org/pricing#faq ## Naughty or Nice List ### About Santa's list #### What is Santa's naughty and nice list? In Christmas stories, Santa's naughty and nice list separates kind behavior from little mischief. Here, it becomes a personalized Santa video: you choose the Nice or Naughty ending before generating. The website does not evaluate anyone's behavior. #### Where does the Santa Claus naughty list tradition come from? The tradition developed through Christmas storytelling and illustrations. An early example is Thomas Nast's 1871 Santa's Mail illustration, which shows Santa sorting letters about naughty and good children. It is one part of a growing tradition, rather than proof of a single inventor. #### Can I choose Santa's Nice List or Naughty List? Yes. Choose Nice or Naughty in the creator. Each version has its own dialogue and Santa performance. Review the script in your selected language before submitting; the result follows your choice rather than a random name check. #### Is the Naughty List video suitable for a playful Christmas surprise? The Naughty version is written as affectionate teasing, with a friendly Santa and no angry, frightening or threatening language. AI performances can vary, so watch the finished video yourself before showing it to a child. ### Making your Santa video #### How is my personalized Santa video created? AI video generation combines your room photo, the name, the selected Nice or Naughty script and your chosen spoken language. It creates Santa in the scene and generates his voice and lip movements. This is an AI-made Christmas video, not a recording of a live actor visiting your home. #### Do I need to upload a photo of my child? No. Upload one clear photo of an empty room, or use the sample room when available. Leave open space for Santa and avoid people or sensitive details. Supported uploads are JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 8 MB; portrait photos work best for the fixed 9:16 video. #### Which languages can Santa speak? Choose American English (en-US), Spanish (es), French (fr-FR), German (de-DE), Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) or Italian (it-IT). The voice language defaults to the current page language, and you can change it in the creator. Each language has its own Nice and Naughty dialogue. #### Will Santa say the name I enter? Yes. The name appears in the dialogue preview and is passed to the video model with pronunciation instructions. Enter up to 40 characters using letters, numbers, spaces, apostrophes, periods or hyphens. Unusual names and lip synchronization may vary in the generated result. ### Downloads, credits and your photos #### What video format and quality will I receive? Each video is 12 seconds in a fixed vertical 9:16 format, with Santa speaking. Choose 480P, 720P or 1080P and download the MP4 from My videos. The site adds no watermark. The homepage Nice and Naughty examples are 480P, independently of your selected generation quality. #### How much does a Santa naughty or nice list video cost? A 480P video costs 5 credits, 720P costs 10 and 1080P costs 20. One-time packs are $9.90 for 15 credits, $19.90 for 40 and $39.90 for 100, in USD. For example, 15 credits can make three 480P videos, or one 720P plus one 480P video. These are alternatives, not combined totals. #### What happens if my video fails to generate? Credits are reserved when you submit. A confirmed failed task returns its reserved credits automatically. If submission is still being checked, look in My videos before starting another task. Returned credits are not a cash refund; contact support about payment refunds. #### Who can access my room photo and generated video? Room photos and results are stored privately for your account. To generate your video, the room image, name, dialogue and settings are sent to the selected video-processing provider. Results are available for up to 90 days. Only upload photos you own or have permission to use, and see the privacy policy for details. List FAQ: https://santanaughtylist.org/#faq ## About A Christmas message that starts in a room your family knows. Create a Naughty or Nice List video, or write a custom Santa video message in your own words. ### Made for a personal Christmas surprise For parents, caregivers and family members preparing a Christmas greeting, the familiar room is part of the surprise. Santa appears in the scene and addresses the name you enter. You can prepare a message before opening gifts or send the downloaded video privately to family. You supply a room photo, not a photo of your child. Use an empty room without people, addresses or other sensitive details. ### Choose what Santa says Choose the original Naughty or Nice List effect for a fixed script with a name. For your own words, open Custom Santa Video Message, upload a room photo and write up to 240 characters and 30 words. Include names directly in the text and write in the selected spoken language; text is not automatically translated. The output is a 12-second video with voice in 480P, 720P or 1080P. The list effect uses 9:16; custom messages offer 9:16, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9. The examples are English, 480P list videos; changing the website language does not translate them. ### Prepare it before the big moment Generate ahead of your planned surprise. Check the pronunciation, Santa’s performance and room details, then download the MP4 from My videos. Save your own copy while the result is available in your account. AI can change details and make mistakes. This is an AI-created performance; it does not assess a child’s behavior. Generation time varies, so plan time to review the result. ### Know what you are buying Credit packs are one-time purchases. You see the resolution and credit cost before submitting. Confirmed failed tasks return their reserved credits. Our pricing, privacy and refund pages explain the details before you buy. Santa Naughty List is an independent AI video service. For questions about an order, a video or your information, use the contact page. Include the relevant order or task ID, but never your password or payment credentials. # Santa Naughty List Public product documentation in English.
